5/1-5/3, I'm not so good at this

monday

toscanini's iced coffee, milk and sugar

adams house d-hall: two slices of multigrain toast and scrambled eggs, formed into a sandwich with whatever cheese the adams d-hall had out. I think sliced mozzarella. much red powerade and OJ.

I was treated to dinner at upstairs on the square, a place I had never been. it was very good.
shrimp scampi salad with feta and arugula
some bites of soft shell crab
three glasses of some chardonnay. usually I don't care for chardonnay, but this was very delicious.

tuesday

iced coffee, milk and sugar

adams house d-hall: one small slice of cheese pizza, some lentil chili with extra crushed red pepper, steamed broccoli, a few tater tots. red powerade, OJ.

adams house d-hall: the mushy spinach with garlic, a few bites of the eggplant parmesan, some bread dipped in a concoction of olive oil, crushed red pepper, sea salt, and basil. diet coke.

wednesday

iced coffee, milk and sugar

adams d-hall: boca burger with cheese, sauteed mushrooms, lettuce and tomato. this fell apart and was very messy to eat. red powerade, OJ, diet coke.

9 tastes dinner date with foodassociate feldman: spicy basil fried rice with tofu and vegetables.

later, at the bar at chez henri (this was a job-related meeting, and despite asking me to meet her at a bar, my boss did not have anything to drink): one glass of pinot grigio, some bread and butter.

It's interesting to have a guest who habitually foregoes breakfast, since the FoodFriends have a very high incidence of breakfast eating. I think there a lot of people out there who skip breakfast. I actually am skipping breakfast today. Junior, I feel like you are a not always breakfast fellow? Anyways, Molly, you should have a banana in the morning, it will give you pep.

I never ate breakfast in college. What lascivious cad with designs on marrying into the Pad inheritance is treating you to Upstairs on the Square?

I am a very infrequent breakfast eater, and never ate breakfast during school or for the last 23 years of my life really (I will confirm with my parents re: ages 0-8). I find breakfast makes me feel sick -- too much bready stuff in the morning. You probably have noticed that I now occasionally eat instant oatmal, which is pretty small, but this becoming less frequent again.

On nights before crossanwiches were to be served for breakfast in the dining hall word would spread though my blocking group. The the following morning there would be a very serious effort for us all to make breakfast. Those who made it usally made sure to grab an extra crossanwich for those who missed.

Why was the crossanwich served so infrequently? Price of crossaints?

Molly, you are an uppity GuestReporter! I like the passion, but I think I am going to give you the same advice that I give to young athletes: prove yourself in your reports.

We are rounding out a great week here.

I only eat breakfast when I know I'm gonna have a bad day.
