the weekend
sorry, I know I'm behind!
Saturday
breakfast: one double medium mocha from 1369 coffeehouse, and one small piece of spinach, garlic, and feta quiche. too much garlic!
for a late lunch/early dinner, and to avoid HUDS interpretation of thai food, foodassociate swiz and I walked along the river to whole foods and bought provisions to make a meal in a filthy kitchen. this is what we made and ate:
fish tacos in flour tortillas (red snapper marinated in lime juice, olive oil, chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and a generous amount of cumin, then pan fried)
homemade pico de gallo (chopped tomatoes, red onion, one habanero pepper, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, salt)
shredded napa cabbage
approximately one half of a bottle of vinho verde
nighttime, at work at the cellar, a place where I bartend:
one (small) bourbon and soda
one half of a heinekin light, a promotional item that tastes like heinekin with water in it
two pints of bourbon and ginger ale, then one more small bourbon and ginger ale
later, at lampoon:
one cardboard-y piece of tommy's cheese pizza covered in crushed red pepper
one milwaukee's best light
Sunday
brunch: one cup of adams house d-hall coffee with milk and sugar, two slices of multigrain toast with butter, a glass of orange juice, a glass of red powerade
one grande iced coffee with milk and sugar
early dinner: all of the dining halls were closed for yardfest, a thing that used to be springfest but was held in the yard this year. this forced everyone at harvard to eat bad sandwiches and pasta salad on the steps of widener.
a couple of bites of a "vegetarian muffaleta" sandwich that fell apart and was not very good at all.
one can of coke
one half of dottino's chocolate chip cookie
two bites of pasta salad
this was not very satisfying, so I went in search of more food.
at shays:
one half of a garden burger with cheese (I like these garden burgers a lot, and the substitution of salsa in place of ketchup is great)
two glasses of the house red wine (I think it was a tempranillo)
one pint of bass
then, later:
three pints of bass
two pints of bourbon and ginger ale
one bourbon on the rocks with a splash of water.

You're a bartender? Where'd you get your mixology masters?
Trivia fact: "Vegetarian Muffaleta" is so incredibly close to being the dirtiest thing I've ever heard.
