Weekend in Review 1, 4.28.06 -- Friday

Intern Lunch @ Conde Nast
Buffalo chicken wrap
Carrots, celery, blue cheese dressing

Alias Restaurant
Pinot Blanc
Grilled artichokes with walnuts, mesclun, maytag blue cheese -- This was very simple and very delicious.
Bites of Caitlin's roasted chicken with truffled grits, asparagus, ramp-creme fraiche sauce -- This was also very good. The grits didn't taste like truffles, but they did taste great.
Poached halibut with ramp and shitake risotto cake, red grape jus -- Halibut was pretty boring, but the rest of this was tasty. Ramps (basically wild scallions) are in season and awesome.

2 whiskey and cokes

Blue and Gold
Drinks -- My money is on Jim Beam and cokes and Blue and Gold.
