3:28pm Friday thru Sunday; a Weekend of Nostalgia and ZK
Friday
Jack Link's Teriyaki Beef Jerky and OJ on bus.
I started eating beef jerky about a week and a half ago, and it's fine, but I think I will probably stop eating it for the same reason that I don't like to eat ground beef or hot-dogs or other beef products that are not easily identifiable as plain old beef: there is a greater likelihood of eating some mad cow brains in a food product that has a greater chance of including cow brain. Then in like 10 years when I'm healthy and happily married, I'll be throwing my little Zach Jr. in the air and then before I catch him I'll suddenly start hallucinating and thinking my body is on fire because there are microscopic prions eating holes in my brain.
4 chicken fingers, 3 chicken wings, OJ, and some cake at my house.
Saturday
White roll, 3 chicken fingers, roast turkey, some cake, OJ, chocolate milk.
Roxbury Latin Reunion Dinner
1 Budweiser.
1 1/2 rolls.
Short ribs bourguignon.
This cost 50 dollars.
Crostinis, french bread, cookies, 2 Newcastles at family friend's birthday party on Cape Cod.
Sunday
1 piece of beef. Cheez-its. Cookies. Some toasted Pita bread.
1 slice of cheese pizza from Don Pepi Pizza at Penn Station. I like this pizza alright.
Miso Soup, white rice, broccoli, chicken teriyaki, 1 tiny cup of Sapporo at GO sushi.
A bunch more cookies.

I forgot to write this part because I got sidetracked.
Zach's review of beef jerky:
Jack Link's Teriyaki Beef Jerky from that Country Pride rest stop on the way to Boston: Pretty fine, it's two thick pieces of beef jerky for like a dollar.
Olberto's Hickory Beef Jerky from Duane Reed: Fine, a lot of beef jerky for about 5 dollars. I'd say this package had about 10 times as much beef jerky as the Jack Link's package, but only cost 5 times as much.
Jack Link's Teriyaki Beef Jerky from Hudson News at Port Authority: Tasteless, tiny pieces of Beef Jerky, sort of like crumbs of beef jerky that were too thin to eat. The volume of beef jerky was probably similar to the first Jack Link's Beef Jerky I had, except that this package cost 6 dollars. That is probably why the woman at the counter rang it up and then said, "It's 6 dollars... is that okay?"

My favorite is Rosie's (I think that is how they spell it). I'm pretty sure it is from New Hampshire. You can get it at some of the rest stops in Connecticut on the Merritt.
