6.8.06

Omelette w/ terragon, tomato, chedder -- This came out a total mess, but it tasted good.

Otter Creek Copper Ale
Some burgundy
Some pinot noir
Pan-roasted salmon
Jasmine rice
Sugar Snap peas w/ sesame
Fresh corn salad -- I found the recipes for both the peas and the corn in the Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. They both came out great. I like this cookbook.

I went to see X-Men 3. It was pretty bad. If you insist on going, I guess you are supposed to sit through a few hours of credits in which they list every person who works at every company the people in the movie have heard of and then a bunch more fakes names and then you will be treated an 8 second bonus scene. It's totally worth it.

I watched a lot of other movies this week, including:

War of the Worlds -- I guess they ran out of money too soon.
Brokeback Mountain -- There is a big secret.
Failure to Launch -- Surprisingly, this movie mostly turned out to be about how Matthew McConaughey always gets bitten by animals. Needless to say, he makes friends with a dolphin in the end.
Firewall -- Boring, not really about the internet.
The Machinist -- Christian Bale, you need to put some meat on those bones.
Batman Begins -- Christian Bale, you need a new voice.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith -- "When Mr. and Mrs. Smith came out, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie lit up the rid carpet and Comcast was there to catch it." If you have Comcast On Demand you have heard this a hundred times.
Dark Water -- Nothing happens.

Although I'm really mad that you are writing about movies when you should be writing about interesting things like baby carrots, I have the following to say:

I also saw Batman Begins this week. If you have Comcast On Demand you also know that the sexy star of The Break Up, Jennifer Aniston, is RUMORED to have a new man in her life (Vince Vaughn), and she is also RUMORED to have a new animal in her life (a dog). These are shocking rumors Comcast On Demand! Where do you get your up-to-the-minute news from?
Also, I watched Kicking and Screaming from On Demand, part of Wayne's World 2, part of LA Confidential, and on the bus home: Just Like Heaven and Yours, Mine and Ours. They played two movies on the bus and those were the movies.
