2006 March 4
Garlic bread
Applesauce
500ml Foo-Land aloe vera drink
Medium popcorn
Small Sierra Mist
One Goodburger veggie burger to go
Campari and soda
Tecate
Tecate
Stella Artois
Russe mit Weihenstephaner
Chili cheese fries from Ray's Candy Store
Jim Beam and Coke
Sake
I was walking home from the NY2 on Second Ave where I had seen a movie, meaning to get dinner, when I noticed a new restaurant identifying itself as Goodburger, Home Of The Goodburger. I am very fond of the film Goodburger, so I checked it out. Peter Meehan of the Times called it "the best burger in New York." I was, indeed, very pleased with my veggie burger. It was delicious, and had all kinds of visible green beans and broccoli in the patty. One minor complaint was that the patty was much bigger than the bun, and the veggie burger patty was a teensy bit crumbly. Still, it was a delicious sandwich, and I think worthy of its name. In addition to having the name of a famous and awesome movie, it also had a picture inside of Wimpy from Thimble Theater endorsing their burgers, which I don't know whether it was properly licensed, since Wimpy already has his own chain of restaurants in England, to say nothing of his friend Popeye's also very excellent restaurants in America. Goodburger, I salute you!
PS: I had forgotten the chili cheese fries.
PPS: I had also evidentily listed the date in the title of this post as having been in 2004.
