2006 May 9

My boss derailed my solution - quite elegant - to my morning hungers, which was to eat breakfast, by insisting that nobody go eat breakfast.

Amy's
New York state goat cheese on French baguette - with roasted tomato, roasted eggplant, black olive tapenade, and fresh thyme
16oz coffee

20oz Mountain Dew
Many baby carrots
Six Hershey's kisses
Arizona green tea energy drink

Sample of 2004 Domaine Georges Vernay viognier

Glass of 2004 Mâcon-Villages Dtour chardonnay
Trader Joe's artichoke tortellini with parsley, sausage, parmesan cheese, and a sauce of olive oil, red pepper, and three cloves of garlic
Glass of Fuji apple juice

China 1 - Warm Tsingtao
Zum Schneider - Jever with lemonade - (the people at Schneidly keep changing the answers as to what constitutes a russe, what a radler, and so forth - I think they don't actually know - so I'm going to give it up until I find someone who can give me a solid answer.)
Mona's - Guinness

Home - 16oz PBR, large mouthful of Uruguay fontina, and five glasses of Dtour

Yeah, I was going to not drink those five last glasses of wine, but then I had to entertain my roommate and then I put on some Bob Dylan and then I had to keep listening to it.

I love me some viognier. I see good things happening to viognier because

(1) it is super delicious
(2) half the time I find it somewhere it is because a wine store is giving away free samples, so it's getting positioned to catch on
(3) its name is fun to say

Unfortunately, I still have troubles finding it - if I go to a nice wine store, it's almost always there, but if I'm just in some humble neighborhood wine and liquor shack, there is often no sweet viogn. T Joe's NY sells one dece if not amazing viognier from Honey Moon for what I believe is a small amount of money.
