A Catered Event in Boston (3/4/06)
Saturday was my Dad's 60th birthday party and it was quite a to-do. Since I eat very few foods I can't give that good a sense of the food at the event, but I will try to say a few things that were there even if I didn't eat them.
I had:
several crispy pesto toasts
chicken and couscous in a martini glass
3 glasses of chardonnay (after I gave my toast, not before)
beef (w/pepper) on caramelized onions on crispy pesto toast
asparagus
warm chocolate chip cookie
vanilla cake with wedding cake frosting and chocolate and vanilla ice-cream
There was also:
lamb with feta on little cracker toasts
a lot of berries
There was also a 60 year old lady singing showtunes and an old man accompanying her on piano. She pretended to hit on me and I played along like a pro.
FYI: Tomorrow is a big night for food reporter FFs mattpod and zachay, as it is the first ever "Ecstasy and Totonno's" dinner. Other NY FFs are invited.

Zachkay, you're like that guy in Green Eggs & Ham - reluctant to eat unfamiliar foods. Why all the pesto? Not that I'm complaining.
just to clarify, ecstasy and totonno's dinner involves taking some ecstasy and eating pizza at totonno's. according to totonno's awning, only god makes better pizza. this is a can't miss event.
The pesto reminds me of the time I spent in Italy.
