A Day at Disneyland

My old college roommates were in town, and they wanted to go to Disneyland. These guys love Disneyland so much, it's crazy.

Sausage biscuit with egg from McDonalds
Large orange juice

One churro

Turkey club sandwich
Lays potato chips, small bag
Large Barq's root beer, from the Hungry Bear restaurant in Frontierland

Haagen-Daas Bailey's flavor shake in Downtown Disney

Chicken Special at the Plazza Restaurant on Main Street, USA:
3 pieces fried chicken
Biscuit
Mashed potatoes with ample gravy
String bean casserole
Coffee, with cream and sugar.

Like a gentleman, I had made reservations for the Blue Bayou, the classy restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean. But my roommates were worried that our reservation time conflicted with the presentation of the 50th anniversary fireworks. Like I said, they love Disneyland. The waitress at Blue Bayou told us these were WAY better than the regular fireworks. She was right. They were impressive. The theme of the fireworks was: different rides at Disneyland. My one roommate had to buy my other roommate's dinner, because they got the lowest and highest scores respectively on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. I scored safely in the midde.

Did not go in Innoventions. Last I heard, the Famous New Orleans Clam Chowder was the leading culprit in giving Jones the week-long sick he had the last time we mounted a big trip to Disney. Jones floated the theory it was the egg at McDonalds, but I think that was microwaved. The egg and the clam chowder were the only way his and my diet differed that day, and he had to go to a doctor and I felt like a champ.
