OJ
Banana
Coffee

Lunch - Monsieur Marcel's:
Merguez sausage sandwich with tomato compote, grilled onions
Stringy fries
1/2 bottle of Domaine Ascor Viognier

Dinner:
Crab chowder
Chunks of baguette
1 glass leftover chardonnay of some kind

At St. Nick's - (ironic hattip: She-Hubbs)
One Dewar's over ice

Back home:
Pisco con leche made by L.
2 Petit Escolier cookies

I ate merguez because of all the meals in Kitchen Confidential, which I just read, Bourdain wolfing down some merguez between some bread during the dinner rush sounded the most satisfying. It was tasty - I would describe it as "spiced" rather than "spicy." KC readers: did you notice how obsessed Bourdain is with Watergate? He's always saying stuff like "these guys were like Hunt and Liddy - they never should have teamed up, but once they did, they sure made a mess."

Pisco con leche is marvelous. They sell pisco, a Peruvian liquor, at BevMo. Warm up a shot and a half in milk with lots of sugar and nutmeg and you will be glad you did.

Crab chowder is easy to make and delicious.
